When I was pregnant few months ago my blood pressure went up so I needed to monitor my blood pressure all the time but I was using a wrist blood pressure at home which is always lower compared to my doctors. I’ve been looking to get an upper arm blood pressure monitor since my blood pressure is still high post birth but wasn’t sure what brand to get then I came across Dr Kea. I’ve had purchased from them before with a different product and I was pleased with what they offer. The BP monitor came in a really cute case which I really like plus four AA batteries which comes in handy. I like that the screen is big and easy to read and the cuff is just right for my size with some more room for adjustments. I also like that it’s very easy to use even without reading the manual instructions. I only had a little problem with setting the Date/Time but that’s because I wasn’t following the instructions right. As for the BP reading I have yet to see with my doctor if it’s a lot closer or as accurate as what they use in the clinic but so far I am happy with this monitor.

I had two different wrist cuffs give me inaccurately low BP readings. Both of them measured blood pressure on a rising cuff pressure. There is a reason doctors do blood pressure on the upper arm, and inflate the cuff above your upper number and deflate it to get the reading. It is simply proven to be more accurate.
If you do slow inflation and read on the rising blood pressure, like most wrist cuffs, you introduce potential errors since the ”downstream” area of blood flow is small and the venous pressure (and subsequent back pressure in the arteries) rises before measurement is complete. Effect, variably low readings, falsely reassuring patients. Check American Heart Association blood pressure measurement standards.
There is a reason that inflating to above arterial pressure and reading on deflation method has been found to be more reliable and more accurate.
This unit does well, consistent with sphygmomanometry standards, and I trust it. I returned two wrist units before settling on this one.

I like the monitor…the cuff is too small for my arm…I hope to be able to speak to someone in customer service to get a larger cuff.

This is the company to go with. The product is good quality and customer service is great. They are assisting me with an XL BP cuff since the one that comes with it is a bit too small for anyone but my small child. I will let you know if anything else occurs.

We just got this two days ago. For me, it is very accurate. For my wife (5 feet tall), the cuff is too big and she’s getting readings that are 210/100 and such. We took it into our doctor today, and her actual BP is 130/72 or close to it the four times he took her BP with his cuff while this one is still giving readings over 200. If we could buy a smaller cuff, we would, but if not, we’ll have to return it. For me, it gets a 5 star rating. For my wife, it’s a 0. Those don’t average to 2.5! AMENDED: Doctor said that she really needs a bigger cuff, but that wouldn’t work because it would actually give higher readings. Suggested she come in and have her BP taken once a month, and I should keep using this because it’s on the button with his and I DO have high BP.

I had purchased this blood pressure cuff a few months back and was not happy. The Cuff had some electronic issues and was giving some odd readings.
