I got this and liked it OK, was easy to use and reasonably priced. My BP readings were borderline, putting me into mild hypertension category, which wasn’t surprising. However, after using it for several weeks, brought with me to compare to doctor’s office readings. Checked it both simultaneous and immediately before/after nurse’s readings. This was about 10-15 points higher, consistently, over two visits and several checks.

So, I bought an Omron 10 Series, and compared them at home–the Omron is reading about that much lower, so I have more confidence that it is accurate. Also, in comparison, the pre-curved arm cuff on the Omron is *much* easier to use. The physical switch for two users (vs. ”soft” switching of 4 users on this model) is easier to use. Also, the Omron has an option to take automatically take 3 consecutive readings and average them, which is inherently more accurate.

If I trusted this monitor was accurate, I would have been happy with it, but I don’t have confidence in it. And, in comparison, the Omron is easier to use with better features (while also apparently accurate). So, this is one is going back (hope they take it back without box, etc.) Oh, and the zipper on the included soft bag/case is failing already.

Looked nice and had a convenient status indicator with the bars on the left. Large and easy to read display. A good cuff and just enough hose attached. But the hose frequently came out of its connection to the device. The killer came with the values measured. Comparing the readings with those taken at the doctor’s office showed major differences. The Beurer showed shockingly higher values such as displaying 169/95 when the actual measurement was 132/76. This tendancy to read high was reproduced multiple times on two different people. I am returning it ASAP.

    • Big display and hassle-free

This blood pressure monitor makes it easy and hassle-free to take my blood pressure (which I don’t like doing but doctor’s orders…) Anyways, I’ve found it to be precise in comparison to the results I get when my doctor takes my blood pressure which is comforting. The blue LCD screen is a bonus but my favorite feature has to be the memory space function as it makes it much easier to monitor results when speaking with my doctor when I go in. The XL display makes it nice to look at without squinting on a tiny screen for my results like I’ve had to do with my past devices. Overall satisfied with this product.

I am totally disappointed that in these dangerous times where there is a GLOBAL PANDEMIC that I would be sent a used device that is being passed off as a brand device. The device I received already had the batteries installed and someone else’s readings already logged into the device from a prior usage (17 prior readings dating back to January).

I’m updating the initial review to reflect new data. My thanks to Carole at Beuler for setting things straight.

The manual in the box gave confoozling instructions for setting date/time/user. I have a college degree, as does my wife, and neither of us, nor my neighbor who’s also a ~smart fellow, could get it to work. I felt like a fool, but Beuler set things right.

We’ve had this gadget now for a while, and the wife and I use it daily. It’s reliably doing exactly what it should, and I’m removing my original negative review completely. I’ve taken this thing with me every time I go to the clinic and my BP is done by a spendy professional machine, and every time I pass by the fire station I stop in to get my BP done with a cuff and stethoscope. I use my Beuler machine just before or after for comparison against an accurate standard. My machine usually reads just a lilbit lower than the pro tools do.

I’d like to tweak the calibration of this gadget internally, assuming there’s a little potentiometer inside that I can access. Still, if you know from experience that your home BP gizmo reads, on average, a bit different +/-, you can apply that to your results and know sufficiently well what your BP average is. You’ll pay plenty more for higher accuracy.

In other words, this Beuler BP machine is easily worth the price. It’s performed reliably since I got it so I’m giving it four stars, a good review. I reserve the fifth star for those things that surprise me, something about them stands out as exceptional, above the norm. If I learn that this BP gadget has an internal calibration pot, that could earn a fifth star. The other cheap home BP machines I’ve tried were disappointing, deviating far from the readings I get from pro tools.

I recommend this Beuler machine, a great value at a reasonable price. Their customer service is outstanding.

This product works for my needs.
The blood pressure monitor stations are no longer in stores near the pharmacy. And my doctor has gone to appointments over the phone or on a video call. So I needed to be able to check my pressures at home. I chose this one because I could purchase an extra large cuff to use with it. So far its working good for me.

I have had this monitor for almost two months. It has not worked well for me since day one and now it doesn’t work well at all. Four out of five times it shows error 6 which means the procedure is taking over 180 seconds. I can sometimes estimate the systolic pressure because I can feel the pulsation start. I take it off and on trying to get it to work, usually without success. I am very disappointed.

Readings are all over the place even when sequentially taken. Even the pulse that is reports is wildly inaccurate. It will consistently report a pulse of over 180 bpm when I am sitting down at rest for over 5 minutes. My normal resting heart rate is around 70 and if I count it over my carotid artery it is around 70. It will also randomly report bp ranges in the hypertensive crisis range but then immediately report a normal range right after. You are better off getting something else.
