I thought I was getting one just like my son’s but this has a wrist band that is much to tight, it pinches my wrist and I my wrists are normal size, I’m not obese. There was no blue light to signal it was in the right position to read your blood pressure. For over $50 price I can’t afford to just put it on the shelf or give it away. I can’t even have a label printed for return because is came US Mail and and weeks ahead of it’s designated delivery.

My doctor checked this machine and said it is so far out of calibration that the reading are totally useless. Omron said if I mailed it back to them at my expense, and it was defective, they would replace it. No option for a refund. I haver never left a negative review in the past, but in this case it is really appropriate. They sold me a piece of junk.

My last omron 2 wristcuff lasted 5 years and that is with me using it multiple times a day seeing im a nurse in long term care. The only reason I had to buy a new one was the velcro went out on it. I am hoping this one lasts just as long. It is much slimmer then the last one and velcro wrist piece looks alot more sturdy then the last. It came very well packaged and everything was there including batteries and comes in a hard case for storage. It is very picky on movement you have to be really still and has a hard time picking up low blood pressures. Overall its very well made and quick response time.

This cuff is simple to use especially for elderly folks. My mom can easily take her own blood pressure. It’s accurate as well, I’m a nurse and I periodically check a manual and they are always very close or exact readings!! A cardiologist recommended this brand to me years ago and it hasn’t disappointed. They have several styles, the simpler the better and most accurate.

Your arm has to be held in an awkward position to use it. I would have run to the hospital right away if I would have believed it!! I have tried it….my husband has tried it…. we have changed the batteries. The monitor reads much higher than accurate or does not read. I will order another blood pressure monitor.

My mom had it and I am happy to find one myself. Pretty accurate and handy

  7. Harry (verified owner)

Not very accurate. I am a home health nurse and some patients complain of pain when a manual cuff an pump is used so I pull out the wrist one. I used it for a week and all my clients numbers were way off. Would return it but past the time I can.

Got this on a buddy’s recommendation. I treadmill half an hour daily, am fairly active for my age, and have reasonable blood pressure when checked by my excellent physician. I know what my numbers are and what they ought to be. One of the readings I took using the Omron 3 indicated a BP reading so low as to indicate imminent death. According to the Omron 3, tonight I’m currently experiencing a “hypertensive crisis.” Assuming the numbers were accurate, which I don’t believe for a moment, I was advised to immediately call 911. Well, I’m certainly NOT experiencing a hypertensive crisis, but after taking my BP readings several times over several days, I’ve decided this wrist monitor was probably a silly waste of money and time. In future, I’m just going to trust my doc and not worry about trying to check it myself. May send this back because it offers erroneous and misleading readings and isn’t the least bit helpful.

Wrist cuffs while convenient are not as accurate as arm cuffs. This unit is no exception although they do make a better quality wrist cuff. I have their regular arm cuff unit and the accuracy is spot on.
