The first unit failed after a year. Wouldn’t turn on. New batteries (checked with voltmeter), no joy. Qardio finally sent a replacement, but it took many phone calls (they don’t always answer), some persuasion, and many emails. The replacement never worked, same momentary flash of the power light, but would not stay on. I give up, other than trying to warn others not to waste their money. Into the rubbish with it.
Just thinking about it raises my blood pressure, but I don’t know by how much.
Too bad, seemed like a good idea, but poorly designed.

Good when it works. Uploads data to Google Fit correctly.

Connectivity to Android (Google Pixel 1, Android 10) is spotty at best. When it doesn’t work, the tutorial that shows up is very unhelpful. The device has no off switch because it’s magically supposed to turn off when closed — but the LED isn’t a good enough indicator for device being on or off. Is my phone a problem? Is the device? Are the batteries bad? Who knows — no good indicator lights, no manual power off switch. All in all, good when it works. But I really shouldn’t get stressed out by connectivity just before taking my blood pressure, right?

And I can’t tell how pairing really worked. ”Put device close” — NFC? Bluetooth magic? Who knows — but knowing would do wonders to triage connectivity problems.

Item worked out of the box on the first evening. Loved it! Then tried to use it next day, no longer connected to phone/bluetooth. Viewed all frequently asked questions/videos and tried resetting etc…. Nothing worked, then I replaced the batteries and it worked again, but just for a day. This item is not eligible for a return. DO NOT BUY!

You get to an age and things that you take for granted, like health, start to mess you around. So, a few years back I started moving a lot more, took up cycling and lost 4+ stone. I still cycle and I still enjoy cycling but even though I can average between 50 and 150 miles per week, what I had not kept an eye on was my blood pressure.

My daughter was having a check up and to reassure her I asked the nurse to take my BP, she agreed and said it was ok. But the way she delivered the ok was hesitant, and I remembered the first number (systolic) being at the top end of the 130’s. I was unnerved enough to try and find out from the internet what this meant to me.

I found out I was Pre Hypertension, and this was far enough from ideal to warrant buying a BP monitor. After a quick look around for reviews, I settled on the QardioArm. The result is that this has been on e of the best purchases I have made to date. After measuring my BP and finding the results to concur with the reading from the nurse, I increased my exercise regime to ensure I ride a minimum of 70 moderate miles a week and 30 intense. I also walk the dogs between 7 and 10 miles, and move enough to add another 20 miles in my general activity, and I get to the gym for two sessions a week.

The results are in the picture attached. You can see where I started and where I am now. For me it is a no brainer. Buy it.

Packaging: The Quadioarm was well packaged inside a neat cardboard tube contained in a small cardboard box and was thus well protected for transportation.
Instructions: The supplied User Guide was both informative and easy to understand. However, the very small font used is considered to present a possible problem for older customers whose eyesight has deteriorated. I would guess that the majority of potential customers who need to monitor their blood pressure are both elderly and have reduced eyesight.
Use: Although the monitor is a very neat and attractive design I found that I experienced unexpected difficulty actually fitting the cuff around my upper arm. The Velcro would keep sticking before I could tighten the cuff. This was usually due to the weight of the unit moving the cuff around my arm. I also on a number of times found that by the time I had it correctly fitted the app was telling me that I needed to turn the monitor off and then on again. As this can only be done by removing the cuff and wrapping the cuff back around the unit I then had to go through the process of refitting the cuff to my arm. A frustrating process that I am sure contributed to an increase in blood pressure.
Once successfully fitted it is just a matter of pressing Start on the app (Android) and letting the unit take the measurements and produce an average reading. Once the readings are acquired the app allows a clear display of readings history in both tabular and graphical presentations.
Likes: Neat design of unit. Ability to easily view measurement history and email history to others. I like the fact that the email automatically has a csv file attached.
Dislikes: Cuff can be fiddly to put on. No indication on unit of on/off. Have to take cuff off and wrap around unit just to switch it Off/On. Supplied batteries exhausted after only 5 days.
Suggestions: User Guide font size to be increased. On/Off indication on unit to be provided. On/Off switch on unit to be provided. Cuff design to be improved.

My good friend that has high blood pressure recommended me the QardioArm he told me it was the latest in Innovacion and a great product. I’ve been using my QardioArm for about 5 months now. When I first got it I was really excited about this device having my readings stored on my smart phone sounded great and not having to lug my clunky blood pressure machine to my cardiologist sounded even better.

When I first got my QardioArm it was linked to my iPhone 7 and seemed to work pretty well then I upgrade it to my current device which is the iPhone X. I to bragged to my brother about how great the QardioArm was all the features that it had and how it seamlessly connected to my iPhone X it was easy to use and it was accurate and the best part, I didn’t need to bring that big clunky blood pressure machine which was like a flag in the breeze telling everybody that I had high blood pressure.

My friend called me a few weeks ago telling me he started having problems with his QardioArm go figure so did I it just didn’t want to connect anymore to my phone. It started to become an inconvenience, I even reset the Bluetooth connection as well as reset the QardioArm. And the worst part I uninstall the app and reinstalled it and what do you know I’m having the same problem as I had before I did all of this. My friend has the same exact problems. One thing that I find really annoying about this blood pressure cuff is that the app seems to eat my ram to the point that it becomes sluggish and unusable, after a reading I have to remove the cuff so that it disconnects from Bluetooth then close the app restart the app just to view my blood pressure and compare it to the other days. It’s also annoying to know that QardioArm has never even update this app wonder why it’s sluggish and eats ram. I’ve read all the comments and I see the responses from QardioArm they’re all the same that there was a problem when the app installed and that you should remove the app and reinstall it.

That’s all the developer ever says instead of fixing the darn app he just blames it on the installation. Let’s make something clear here when I installed the QardioArm app some five months ago it worked flawlessly for the first four months no problems. For if the app installed it self wrong it wouldn’t have worked in the beginning so it’s not the app it’s the crap software that the app is written on which is causing the problem, And let’s not forget Apple has updated iOS multiple times but QardioArm hasn’t updated their app not once so it’s not the app it’s the software that the app is built on which does not work with the current version of iOS and is causing problems such as crashes, eating large amounts of RAM, being sluggish, being unusable, it’s time to upgrade the app !!!

Lastly I would not recommend anybody buy this product for the simple fact that trying to communicate with QardioArm requires you write an email don’t provide a phone number no that makes sense !!! Instead let’s play email tag. On top of that QardioArm just blames everything on the app and makes you uninstall the app to reinstall it again another hassle. And let’s not forget when you do that you lose all of your blood pressure readings, how convenient !!!

Finally I just recently found a new Bluetooth blood pressure cuff made by Omron it’s the Omron Evolv. I recently saw it in a Rite Aid and it is $10 more than the QardioArm. I think it may be worth a try considering Omron is recommended by doctors and QardioArm isn’t. Thanks QardioArm for making me look like a complete donkey I told my doctor how great your device was I even told my doctor that she should start selling this product, I told my friends I told my brother and all you can ever say to your customers is when the app was installed it installed wrong you know and I know that’s complete BS and if you’re not gonna take responsibility for your product and keep up with the times and update your app then it’s time for me to Move on !!!!

**** Update After multiple emails to Qardio arm and no resolution I stopped using Qardio arm and I am currently using the number one brand Omron Evolv, It is a Bluetooth cuff and has an app and is more accurate than Qardio arms cuff. Side-by-side test the Qardio arm was 12 points off. The funny thing is you may not even have high blood pressure but the Qardio arm will tell you that you do by how in accurate readings are. The final straw was when I contacted Qardio arm and told them about how in accurate her blood pressure cuff was and the response was the app installed incorrectly and that I should reinstall it again you’ve got to be kidding me it’s the same excuse every time and honestly my blood pressure is more important then the lame excuse from Qardio arm good riddance !!!!

I have purchased two models of Bluetooth BP Monitors with the results being transferred to your phone for storage. They did not work out very well. This is my third, and it is fantastic!!

    1. The readings are similar to my doctor’s expensive monitor.
    2. The ”app” that goes with it – is also Great and easy to figure out and use.
    3. The device is small and compact – but still takes your BP reading on the upper arm – just where the medical people take it.
    4. It is light and easy to pack. You can actually put it in your suit pocket – just like the advertisement depicts.
    5. You can lock in your Bluetooth address – so the unit does not try to pair with a nearby phone.
    6. There is a ”guest” mode – where someone can use or try out your Monitor without the result being included in your own readings.
    7. I love it!!! 🙂

The monitor works well when you first get it but within a day or two it will not turn on without a fresh set of batteries each time. Interfaces well with the iOS health app. A great idea in terms of functionality and design appearance but not reliable enough to be useful for monitoring something as important as one’s health

The device is not accurate!!!! The readings it was providing were considerably off. I took the device to the cardio doctor to compare I was using it properly and she confirmed the device was way off in comparison. BEWARE this device is non-returnable. Thank you to Amazon for taking care of this issue for me. Again amazing service from Amazon.

NOT A RETURNABLE PRODUCT. There is no warning about this in the description, shame on Qardio and Amazon. Do not buy this item if you have not been able to sample it in person elsehwere. If you buy from Qardio directly, you can return it, if you buy from Amazon, you’re stuck with it. The item arrived quickly but that is the only positive. it does not record accurate measurements on large arms, the numbers vary from 175/110 to 161/107 while a professional reading within 10 minutes showed 138/82. The QardioArm does not work as advertised, I am extremely disappointed in this product.

    Simplicity for iPhone users.
Seamless and automatic integration with IOS Health App.
    Triple measurement for better accuracy.
Very compact and highly portable. Quick and easy to apply without silly tubes.
    Very well made.
Just need to be more confident with readings as they differ (lower) than my old wrist BPM.
